Job application guidelines
The following guidelines have been written to assist you to prepare an application which will provide essential and accurate information to assist the University in its selection process.
It is suggested that you send a covering letter in which you briefly outline the reasons why you consider you meet each of the critical factors of the person profile and job description detailed in the conditions of appointment.
The application form requests personal information including referee details that would usually be included in your personal CV. Please ensure you complete the application form in full and submit it together with your up to date CV.

| Qualifications |
| List your most recent qualifications first, giving the qualification name and the institution from which it was obtained. Include languages spoken, cultural and academic background. Draw attention to the qualifications you think would be most useful to the position you are applying for. |
| Training |
| List any training you have received on or off the job. |
| Work experience (paid) |
| List your most recent position first and work backwards in time. Give the name of your employer, the job title and number of years in the position. Emphasise the experience and skills you gained that are relevant to the position you are applying for. |
| Community/family experience (unpaid) |
| Outline any community or family experiences you have had that will be useful in the position you are applying for. Briefly outline what you did and what skills you have gained. |
| Interests |
| List interests, hobbies, club membership, sporting activities, church activities etc. |
| General |
| Any other relevant information you may wish to present. |
