Governed by the BHU Organics Trust, the Biological Husbandry Unit (BHU) conducts participatory research and is an answers driven research and demonstration area addressing the challenges that face organic agriculture and conversion to organics.

Biological husbandry is another term for organic agriculture implying  the use of biological understanding of a farming system.

Research is also conducted on a full range of local and further afield farms. This "participatory research" enables us to study and collaboratively answer issues in farms of different conditions with different crop and livestock.
