Faculty of Environment, Society and Design

The Faculty of Environment, Society and Design offers many exciting opportunities in postgraduate and undergraduate study and in research.

It is made up of three departments and one school:

• Department of Applied Computing
• Department of Environmental Management
• Department of Social Science, Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Sport
• School of Landscape Architecture. 

Staff are involved both in the teaching of a wide range of courses within the academic programmes of the university and are all actively involved in research.

The Faculty also runs two research centres:

• Land, Environment and People (LEaP).
• Isaac Centre for Nature Conservation (ICNC)

Postgraduate students provide one of the Faculty's most important strengths and increasingly graduating students are carrying their research through to formal refereed publication.
