Bus and parking information

Bus service

Buses run regularly from within Christchurch to the University and return. Bus number 81 to Lincoln, is the one to take from the central city area. The Selwyn Star bus 820 service makes it easier for students to commute from Rolleston.

Car parking

Lincoln has plenty of parking. The great thing is, unlike many other universities, parking is free.  

Students and staff must display parking permits on their windsheilds.

Visitors need to display their permit (available from reception in the Forbes building) or their business card visible through the windsheild.

Bicycles

Lincoln University is surrounded by bicycle paths. There are ample bicycle stands and an undercover, lockable bicycle shed is situated beside Hudson Hall. A key for this facility is available from Lincworks.

Lincoln University enjoys a rural setting on the Canterbury Plains less than half an hour from Christchurch, the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand.

Lincoln University is a quick 25 minute drive from Christchurch airport and the many popular tourist and recreational attractions of Canterbury.  You can travel from the airport by car, taxi or shuttle.You can even catch the number 81 bus from central Christchurch that will take you right out to Lincoln University.
