Programmes and booking

Waterwatch offer modular programmes for older primary students and secondary students.

You can book several types of event for your class:

  • preliminary class
    (To provide an introduction to outline what a field trip will cover)
  • field trips
  • indoor options where we bring the river to your classroom
    (A good option if you do not have a stream or river close enough to your school or as a wet weather replacement for a field trip)

Waterwatch Manager(Kelvin Nicolle) is St John First Aid certified, can provide risk (RAM) reports on request, and have the following equipment available on field trips:

  • gumboots/waders for students
  • work books
  • pencils
  • first aid equipment
  • scientific instruments

 The students get the most out of visiting a stream or river. If you don't have one near your school, don't enter field trip dates, instead tell us when to bring the river to your classroom.
