
Waterwatch offer modular programmes for older primary students and secondary students.
You can book several types of event for your class:
- preliminary class
(To provide an introduction to outline what a field trip will cover)
- field trips
- indoor options where we bring the river to your classroom
(A good option if you do not have a stream or river close enough to your school or as a wet weather replacement for a field trip)
Waterwatch Manager(Kelvin Nicolle) is St John First Aid certified, can provide risk (RAM) reports on request, and have the following equipment available on field trips:
- gumboots/waders for students
- work books
- pencils
- first aid equipment
- scientific instruments
NCEA
The Waterwatch Curriculum Advisor( Sue Jarvis), is able to advise teachers as to how Waterwatch can be applied to the NCEA Achievment Standards for Level 1 and Level 2

- Education for sustainability
