Department of Global Value Chains and Trade

This department provides work-ready graduates with a keen appreciation of the unique mix of elements that make up a successful exporting business involved in international trade.

Courses focus on supply chain management, business management and economics, with an emphasis of blending all these key principles into a global value chain perspective from the point of production to the point of consumption anywhere in the world.

Through case studies, guest speakers and interactive learning, students learn to apply theoretical ideas in a realistic way and to be able to understand and critique them.

The department has worked closely with industry to develop content to reflect current practice and also the placement of students into graduate jobs.
