Introduction

LASC 206 seeks to develop knowledge and understanding of the issues, methods and techniques required for the successful implementation of planting proposals. This course focuses on the preparation and presentation of planting plans and specifications, and on the application of design and implementation strategies in the context of the re-vegetation of a specific site.

LASC 206 continues the introduction to plant materials which begins in LASC 211 Planting Design and Management. From there, it seeks to develop an understanding of the rudiments of plant physiology, nursery practice and plant supply, as these apply to landscape design and implementation.

The paper also introduces CAD applications as a tool in the preparation of plans and specifications.
