Study Abroad credit

Students can complete a course, usually of four, eight, 12 or 16 weeks (one, two, three or four modules) of English Language.  There are regular EAP (English for Academic Purpose) module start dates through the year.  Discourse options and academic or professional elective options can be assessed for credit at the home university or institution.

Students and institutions should contact us to establish credit arrangements between Lincoln University and other institutions.

Individuals or groups of students may complete any number of 4-week EAP modules at Lincoln University for credit at their home university or institution.  There are regular EAP Module Start Dates throughout the year.

Course content

In every module, in addition to course content for English language skills development, there are academic and professional elective options for specific projects and speaking and listening skills classes, which students or their home universities may choose.  Classes can be chosen from our EAP Timetable.

Final results

There is EAP Assessment in every module, so that students and institutions can monitor progress, and EAP results for the completed programme include a final proficiency level and achievement grade.  These results may also be used to meet English Language Requirements for entry to further study at Lincoln University.  Students may also qualify for the Certificate in EAP.

Credit Arrangements

Lincoln University has experience with study abroad credit in English language, and has established working arrangements with institutions from countries including Japan, People’s Republic of China, Taiwan and South Korea.
