Throughout the world people are faced with an ever widening range of serious environmental concerns such as resource depletion, pollution of air and water, and global warming. The use of natural systems as resources raises complex issues of sustainability, environmental and community integrity, security, efficiency and equity.

The Bachelor of Environmental Management and Planning degree offers an opportunity to become a leader in identifying and managing environmental problems the world over.

The BEMP degree gives you enormous flexibility and scope for building the knowledge base you need for your future. You can custom-build you BEMP degree around the compulsory papers by adding elective courses that address and extend your areas of interest.

Alternatively, you can choose to incorporate a major and/or minor into your BEMP degree. These give you the opportunity to develop expertise in a particular area, such as Environmental Planning, Conservation & Ecology, Recreation in Natural Areas, Transport Planning & Policy, Software & Information Technology and Tourism & Sustainable Business.
