Part I:

The first year comprises three core courses:

WATR 601 Advanced Water Resources,

WATR 602 Determinants of Water Availability and Quality and

WATR 603 Water Management, Policy and Planning.

The core courses should be accompanied by at least 30 credits chosen from:

LWST 602 Advanced Resource Management and Planning Law,

MAST 603 Mana Kaitiaki (Maori Resource Management),

ERST 621 Principles of Environmental Impact Assessment,

ERST 630 Environmental Policy and Planning,

ERST 632 Economics in Environmental Policy,

ERST 633 Integrated Environmental Management, and

ECON 606 Natural Resource and Energy Economics through Lincoln University, 

or from GEOG 404 and ENVR 410 through University of Canterbury.

The remaining courses shall be selected from appropriate courses as listed in the University of Canterbury or Lincoln University Calendars in order to make up a coherent programme of study for each student.

The total course weight of the Part I programme will be at least 120 credits (1.0 EFTS).

  

Part II:

The second year comprises a thesis to the value of 120 credits (1.0 EFTS).
