Individual Major
In addition to the majors available for the BSc, students also have the option to create their own science major.
This individual major must have an area of focus and is normally defined by a minimum of three 300 level courses (60 credits) with the same prefix.
Double Majors
Double majors are available to students that have a particular career in mind. Students are able to shape their degree with a double major.
Double majors are available in any of the major areas of study that are available for the BSc (excluding the individual major), provided that the requirements of both majors are met and unrestricted credit is gained in all of the 300 level courses credited towards the majors.
Additional majors or minors
Additional Major or Minor Students are able to complete an additional major or minor within their degree, e.g. Environmental Biogeosciences, Human Resource Management, Maori Studies, Urban Ecology, and Sustainable Business.
Courses at the 300 level that are credited to a major or minor may not be credited to any other major or minor. Find out more at www.lincoln.ac.nz/majorsandminors
Note: Students are strongly recommended to seek course advise from the Academic Co-ordinator, or the relevant Course Advisor in order to ensure that the combination of courses are relevant and coherent.
