In order to graduate with a Bachelor of Social Science with Honours, students must complete 120 credits, comprising three courses from appropriate schedules, a relevant research methods course, and a dissertation (worth 40 credits). No more than one special topic is allowed in an honours programme.
While part-time study is possible, the maximum time allowed is two years. Honours will normally be 2 semesters of full-time study which is to be completed no more than 14 days following the final examination in the second semester of study, or if part-time, then no later than 14 days after the completion of the final exam.
