Software and Information Technology

The Bachelor of Software and Information Technology offers flexible and applied courses to equip graduates with transferable computing skills for real world problems. The degree includes courses in programming, technical computing, end user computing, databases and information systems. Students are also encouraged to include courses from other areas (such as commerce or science) to add an additional major or minor to their degree.

The Diploma in Software and Information Technology provides you with the opportunity to study specialist computer courses along with another area of focus – such as commerce, resource management, tourism or social science.

The Graduate Diploma in Software and Information Technology provides students who already have a degree in another discipline an opportunity to study specialist IT courses. You can includes courses in programming, technical computing, end user computing, simulation and information systems as part of the diploma.

The Graduate Certificate in Software and Information Technology provides students who already have a degree in another discipline an opportunity to study specialist IT courses. You can include courses in programming, technical computing, end-user computing, simulation, and information systems as part of the certificate. 

The Bachelor of Software and Information Technology provides students who already hold an undergraduate degree in computing or information technology, an opportunity to entend their knowledge and skills. Courses are available in advanced programming, graphics, data management, data visualisation and interaction design. Students also complete a significant project and write a discussion.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Software and Information Technology equips graduates with a variety of transferable computing skills which they can apply to real world problems.

The Master of Software and Information Technology focuses on using IT effectively in business and in science. Candidates for the MS&IT will have qualified for a Bachelor of Software and Information Technology, Bachelor of Software and Information Technology with Honours, Bachelor of Commerce and Management with Computing as a major area of study, or equivalent.
