In order to qualify for entry to the Certificate of University Preparation students must either:
- Have gained the following NCEA Level 3 credits; 10 - 12 credits in each of two approved school subjects, plus 14 credits from no more than two other subjects.
- Meet literacy (level two) and numeracy (level one) University Entrance requirements.
OR:
- Entry will be based on an assessment of NCEA or other formal educational results provided, or an assessment of overseas qualifications.
- Students are likely to have been out of the New Zealand secondary school system for one year and reached the age of 18 by the start date of the first semester of study.
If your entry qualifications are very nearly at the required level or you are an adult considering a return to formal or tertiary education we encourage you to apply for an individual assessment. Applicants may be asked to attend an interview and/or supply a personal statement.
