Undergraduate Degrees

Most Bachelor's degrees require three years of full-time study, although you can study part-time. Bachelor's degrees are made up of core or compulsory courses and elective courses. Courses can be at 100, 200 or 300 level. Students wishing to study full-time normally enrol in eight courses a year, four in each semester.

It is possible to transfer from one bachelor degree to another during the course of your study, and to add or change majors and minors. We encourage students to seek course advice from appropriate academic Faculty staff when considering making these changes.

You can start studying at the start of the first semester in February, the second semester in July, or Summer School.

Conjoint Degrees

Admission to a conjoint degree enables a student to study towards two bachelor's degrees at the same time. You can credit passes in up to 150 credits  (ten courses) to both degrees and take five courses per semester, so a conjoint degree can be completed in four years.

Permission is only granted if you have high grades and the Academic Administration Committee is convinced you will be able to handle the extra workload.

You must apply no later than the beginning of your second year of study. Application forms are available from Student Administration. In the first instance, please contact admissions@lincoln.ac.nz.
