What will we do in New Zealand?
You will experience life as a student at Lincoln University. You will live in one of our on-campus Halls of Residence, have meals in the Dining Hall and attend a sample of lectures and hands-on laboratory activities. You will also get to meet and mingle with current students. A full schedule of activities will be sent out closer to the time.
Will I have the opportunity to stay on in New Zealand after the trip?
Yes, you can certainly stay on and enjoy the unique New Zealand hospitality however this will be at your own expense.
What happens if I live a long way away from a major airport? Who covers these transport costs?
All costs incurred to and from the major Australian airport closest to you are your own.
Can I bring a parent with me?
This opportunity is primarily aimed at students who are researching their study options for when they leave school. As such, the itinerary is essentially targeted towards those students alone. We would prefer that if parents were going to accompany you, that they organised their own accommodation and daily activities so as not to interrupt you while you are experiencing life at Lincoln University. We are however, more than happy to give parents a campus tour should they require it.
Will I need to get a rental car?
No, all transfers and transportation required will be provided during your time at Lincoln University.
What if I have special dietary or mobility requirements?
No problem. Please notify us of any special requirements you have when completing your application form so that we can make your visit as comfortable as possible.
If I win the competition, how will I know what to do next?
All winners will be notified by email no later than Friday 9th March. You will be assigned to a member of our Marketing and Recruitment team who will let you know everything you need to know regarding your visit. They will also be one of your hosts when you arrive
What happens if I get sick or find out that I can’t come at the last minute?
Please try and let us know as early as possible so that we can transfer/cancel your flights. We understand that some things are out of your control and events may happen which may jeopardise your visit to New Zealand, however we will do our best to accommodate you.
What happens if I get sick or hurt while I am in New Zealand?
All students on this trip are required to obtain compulsory medical and travel insurance before they come over. We will ensure that you are looked after at all times during your stay and will make the necessary arrangements to contact your family should we need to.
I will be on vacation during the dates of the trip – can I take my trip at another time?
