Identity and citizenship evidence

New Zealand Citizenship is proven if you can provide certified copies of any of the following documents:

  • a New Zealand birth certificate 
  • a New Zealand passport
  • a Certificate of New Zealand Citizenship.

New Zealand Permanent Residence is proven if you can provide certified copies of any of the following documents:

  • a passport with a New Zealand Residence Permit or New Zealand Returning Resident’s Visa
  • a letter from the New Zealand Immigration Service of the New Zealand Labour Department together with your passport (if your permit has not yet been issued)
  • an Australian passport.

International Students

If you are do not have New Zealand citizenship or permanent residence Lincoln University recognises you as international student.

Being an international student you must have a current and valid passport. The name in your passport must match the name recorded on the documents you supply to support your application to study. Before you can complete your enrolment and registration you will need to have supplied Student Administration with a copy of your current and valid Student Visa.
