Bridging programmes
If you do not meet the entry requirements, don’t worry. Lincoln University offers two bridging programmes to help prepare for university study.
Certificate in University Preparation (CUP) – one semester
CUP is a pathway for New Zealand secondary schools students who narrowly failed to meet the academic requirements for undergraduate study, or students over 18 who left school before completing their secondary studies.
Adults who want to study at university level and international students from New Zealand secondary schools who narrowly failed to gain University Entrance are also able
to take the CUP course.
CUP students qualify for a Student Loan, which makes this an accessible entry back into full-time study.
You can start the CUP in February, July or November as part of Lincoln’s Summer School offering.
Certificate of Foundation Studies (CFS) – two semesters
CFS is a university entrance qualification designed and developed by Lincoln University to act as a ‘bridging’ programme between school and university to prepare New Zealand and international students for university studies.
The course is a pathway for school leavers and mature students and is designed to ensure students succeed in their university degree and encourage the development
of personal study and communication skills, as well as academic capabilities.
There are three intakes each year: February (Feb-Oct); July (July-Feb); November (Nov-June).
Please contact the student recruitment team on 0800 10 60 10 (New Zealand only) or +64 3 325 2811 or recuritment@lincoln.ac.nz for entry requirements and further information.
