Scholarships and prizes for international students

A number of scholarships and prizes are available to international students wishing to study at Lincoln.

These include:

Lincoln University Doctoral Scholarships

Each award is valued at NZ$21,000 per annum for up to three years, plus tuition fees up to the amount incurred by New Zealand students. You must be eligible for admission to full-time  study towards a PhD.

Lincoln University Graduate Scholarships

Each award is valued at NZD$6,000 per annum for up to three years, plus tuition fees up to the amount incurred by New Zealand students. You must be eligible for admission to full-time study towards nominated postgraduate qualifications.

NZAID Study Awards

The Study Award covers tuition fees, economy fare travel, and a basic living allowance with provision for accommodation expenses.

Assistance is also provided for course-related costs and medical insurance.

The awards are offered to students from the Pacific, Asian and Latin American regions nominated by the government of their home country.

NZAID Postgraduate Scholarships

The New Zealand Government also offers a limited number of scholarships to international students from selected developing countries for postgraduate study in areas relevant to the development of their home country.

The award covers tuition fees, economy fare travel, and a basic living allowance with provision for accommodation expenses. Assistance is also provided for course-related and health care costs.

 

New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships 

These scholarships provide financial support for students from designated countries undertaking doctoral degrees by research in New Zealand universities.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and are worth approximately $40,000 NZD per annum for up to three years.

 

Commonwealth Scholarships

The New Zealand Vice-Chancellors Committee offers a limited number of scholarships to graduates of other Commonwealth countries under the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan. Prospective applicants should obtain information from their own universities.
