The sustainable management of weeds, pests and disease was part of the MG Marketing workshop series held at Lincoln University last month.

The series is a joint initiative by the University, MG Marketing, and the Lincoln-based Bio-Protection Research Centre (BPRC) and Biological Husbandry Unit (BHU).

Dr Charles Merfield (BHU) and Professor Steve Wratten (BPRC), along with Roger Georgieff from MG Marketing were the main facilitators of the workshop.

Around 20 of MG Marketing’s top growers from around New Zealand came to Lincoln for the workshop.

Lincoln Business Development Manager, Dr Samuel Yu says it events such as the workshops, with businesses, growers and scientists involved together, which will help to come up with solutions for the challenges that face all of us, especially in the food production sectors.
