Research Careers

Lincoln University is a leading teaching and research institution, and one of New Zealand’s eight universities.

Lincoln has continued to develop as a national and international research-led university, with particular research strengths in agriculture, agribiosciences, tourism, landscape architecture, environmental management and design, to name just a few.

Lincoln is highly respected for its commerce, business and enterprise research as well as its environmental and social research. According to the 2012 New Zealand Performance Based Research Fund (PBRF) report, Lincoln enjoyed the largest net percentage increase in funding and has one of the highest PBRF funding allocations per staff member.

Joining the Lincoln team is a great career move, with significant research opportunities in all fields of study. Staff are well looked after and provided with a strong support system to achieve their research outputs. Lincoln staff enjoy a range of benefits, including an attractive remuneration package, and the use of a wide range of facilities and services.

We pride ourselves on our relationships with key research partners, but perhaps the most significant benefit of these collaborations is the opportunity our researchers get to work alongside businesses that are at the forefront of their fields.

By enabling tomorrow’s leaders to collaborate with and be inspired by today’s, we are ensuring the knowledge and experience we are building now will guarantee a prosperous, successful and sustainable future for New Zealand.
