Lincoln CT (Computed Tomography)

The primary aim of Lincoln CT, the use of Computed Tomography, as part of the Sheep Breeding Technology Unit, is to aid research in animal genetics within the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Use the latest technology to identify your top sheep with CT

The main focus of research is this area is on genetic variation, particularly in sheep, and its association with economically important traits.

The technique of CT is used primarily for the measurement of body composition in live farm animals, with the aim of identifying superior animals, but CT allows other measurements to be collected.
