The 2005 REBEL KiwiSport Challenge is under way in many primary schools throughout Canterbury.
KiwiSport Challenge, which this year runs from 22 August until 16 September, is an annual event and once again thousands of children are taking part.
The REBEL KiwiSport Challenge is a Sport Canterbury initiative. KiwiSport is endorsed by Sport and Recreation New Zealand (SPARC). The Challenge is sponsored by REBEL Sport and promotes participation, skill development, fun and FairPlay in school events.
Students from the Bachelor of Recreation Management degree at Lincoln University are helping with the organisation, promotion, planning and sports coaching at the schools. This is part of the Lincoln University students course work in Event and Programme Management.
The Challenge is a well-known community event that involves children participating in physical activity in schools, supported by their friends and family members.
