Alumni fever takes hold in London

06 July 2006

Lincoln Alumni in LondonLondon-based graduates of Lincoln University were keen to hang on to the University’s alumni association manager Sarah Currie after she organised a highly successful social function for them in New Zealand House, Haymarket, on 5 July.

Here Bachelor of Commerce (Agricultural) graduate Ben Shearer, originally from Mid-Canterbury, does his best to persuade Sarah to stay and help organise another London get-together for the Lincoln grads in that part of the world.

The London gathering, attended by up to 100 graduates along with Vice-Chancellor Professor Roger Field and Lincoln University Council member Tony Hall, was held to officially launch a London branch of the Lincoln University Alumni Association.

Everyone present was very keen to keep the ball rolling and make the London branch as active as possible.

Large numbers of Lincoln graduates work in London, particularly holders of commerce and commerce and management degrees, while in the rural areas of Britain numerous agricultural graduates are employed in farming and related enterprises.
