Former Federated Farmers President Tom Lambie of Pleasant Point, South Canterbury, and the Deputy Kaiwhakahaere of Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu, Donald Couch of Rapaki, were re-elected respectively Chancellor and Pro Chancellor of Lincoln University for 2007 at today’s meeting (5 December) of the University Council.
For both it will be their third year-long term in these positions.
The meeting also saw the retirement of long-serving Council members Ian Donald of Auckland, who has served nine years on the Council, and Dr Bob Wynn-Williams of Christchurch, who has served eight years. Both are Lincoln graduates.
They were described by the Chancellor as “outstanding councillors” who “personified everything that’s good about Lincoln University”.
