Media Advisory
Lincoln University’s annual Open Day for prospective students, parents, family members, whanau and friends takes place this Thursday, as detailed above.
Your coverage is welcome.
Last year the University’s Open Day attracted people from Northland to Invercargill and this year the same geographic spread applies with people from Auckland to Southland getting in touch and saying they will be attending.
An angle for you (either in words or photo) could be the wide pulling power of Canterbury’s tertiary education institutions and particularly a place like Lincoln University with nationally unique specialist degree courses such as Viticulture & Oenology, Transport and Logistics, Hotel and Institutional Management, Valuation and Property Management, Tourism Management and Recreation Management .
Visually as well as informationally there is heaps on the programme -
- Course information and course advice sessions.
- Campus tours, including halls of residence, Recreation Centre and Library.
- Lunchtime concert by the DUKES with the Edge radio station.
A free bus from the city and Bush Inn Mall to Lincoln University and return will be running.
Good Photo Opportunity:
For out-of-town families coming to Lincoln University for Open Day we have provided the opportunity of staying overnight in the halls of residence. This will give them the chance to experience what it’s like living in the halls. We have had six families take up this offer. Could be useful photo for you - Mums and Dads experiencing student life in the halls.
If you’re interested, contact me and we will get some of them together for you.
As mentioned above - your coverage of Lincoln University’s Open Day is welcome.
