Lincoln University has completed the first stage of its Review of Academic Delivery as announced today by Vice Chancellor, Professor Roger Field:
“Over 100 submissions were considered during the consultation process. The University will withdraw from certain programmes [details below]. As a result of the submissions further consideration of existing programmes will be undertaken, and decisions will then made by the Academic Board and Council.” says Professor Field. “The review will result in two positions being disestablished. The University aims to redeploy affected staff into other areas within the University wherever possible.”
“Through these changes Lincoln University will strengthen its distinctive focus on research, postgraduate supervision and teaching innovation related to the further development of agriculture, commerce, the environment and relevant industries. The University’s strategy, as a research intensive provider of interdisciplinary qualifications closely aligned to New Zealand’s current and future needs has a global focus.”
