Around 90 people have already indicated they will be attending the get-together, a combination of future students, their parents and some current Lincoln students. The University’s Scholarships Manager, Jane Edwards, will also be present. Current Lincoln students helping to host the occasion include Ashley Nicholson, the 2007 Head Boy at Macleans College, Bucklands Beach, and Lloyd Clark also from Macleans College.
It is the first time Lincoln University has held a social event such as this in Auckland for its future students.
We see it as a useful meet and greet opportunity for those who will be travelling from the Auckland area to Lincoln University,says Craig. They can get to know some fellow classmates ahead of when they start down there. In other words, they should have some familiar faces around when they first arrive on the campus.
