Organised through Lincoln University’s Professional Development Group, the Missouri visit is similar to a biennial trip by students from the University of Delaware in which academic credit points are gained for the time spent at Lincoln University.
The Missouri students, who will be accompanied by one faculty member, are all animal science majors.
Their programme will include campus lectures plus field trips out and about in Canterbury studying water resources and farming systems, a look at landforms and other features on the West Coast, and they will also examine aspects of tourism.
It is a busy time for Lincoln University’s Professional Development Group, with a party of 19 agricultural officials from Wuhan, China, also being hosted by Lincoln University for a study visit over December-January.
