Lincoln University to re-open 15 June 2011

14 June 2011

Lincoln University is pleased to confirm that we will re-open the campus on Wednesday, 15 June 2011 to all staff and students.

Engineers have been on campus this morning using their normal protocol to assess each building’s status.  The reports received to date have all been positive and we anticipate that this will continue.

The examinations scheduled for Wednesday (15 June) through to Thursday (23 June) will continue as originally scheduled.

Questions regarding Aegrotats and other study matters can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section on the website.

To enable study opportunities for students who are on or near campus the University has decided to open the Library today, Tuesday, 14 June, from 1.00pm until 9.00pm.  The Recreation Centre will be open on Tuesday, 14 June from 1-9pm and from 6am on Wednesday, 15 June.

English Language students’ courses will also resume on Wednesday, 15 June.
Both the Lincoln University childcare facilities will also re-open on Wednesday, 15 June with their normal operating hours.

As there is no damage or need to clean facilities, staff can return to their offices without an induction process, but please note the previous advice on being cautious in the workplace.

We will have our normal support services on campus and available from Wednesday, 15 June. There will be additional counsellors who will be available to staff and students, as needed.  The LUSA services will also be functional and available from Wednesday, 15 June.

Further updates will be available through our website.

We wish to thank everyone who has provided support and contributed to our ability to re-open as planned tomorrow, Wednesday, 15 June.  Your patience, engagement and commitment to returning to normal activities is greatly appreciated.
