Learn from the experts at farm focus day

Members of the public are welcome to attend an upcoming farm focus day that will showcase the operations of the North Island’s only demonstration dairy farm and allow the community to hear from industry experts.

22/11/2017 9:30:00 a.m.
Owl Farm, located in Cambridge, is a joint venture between St Peter’s School and Lincoln University and aims to help build a profitable and sustainable dairy farming future.

Demonstration Manager Louise Cook says the focus day will begin with a season update that provides information about how the farm is working to protect spring production.

Next on the agenda is a financial review, giving guests a chance to understand the details around cashflow for the farm over the past few months.

A presentation on how to get the best from Farm Environment Plans in order to protect New Zealand rivers will then take place, followed by details on the Owl Farm summer feed and management plan.
