Lincoln University Vice-Chancellor Professor Robin Pollard has made a new senior appointment.
Mr Phil O’Callaghan has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer and will take up the position on Wednesday 19 April 2017.
Mr O’Callaghan comes to the University from PwC where he has worked with the University recently on the Refreshing Lincoln programme, specifically on the implementation of the University’s internal economy and review of the University budget for 2017 onwards.
His work experience includes valuations, commercial, turn-around, and modelling advisory roles across both the public and private sectors. Mr O’Callaghan graduated from Otago University with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and is also a CFA charterholder.
Lincoln University had a strong last quarter result showing financial performance well ahead of forecast with a positive surplus. To maintain growth in the financial performance of the University, Mr O’Callaghan will lead a portfolio that will seek to maximise the University’s financial performance, financial management and commercial outcomes.
