The Department of Conservation (DOC) is the government agency responsible for conservation in New Zealand. New Zealand conservation lands offer many recreation opportunities. Australian and New Zealand Association for Leisure Studies (ANZALS)
ANZALS exists to encourage and support the development of leisure research and teaching through scholarly debate, the exchange of ideas and the publication of new knowledge, and through enhancing the profile of leisure studies, particularly in Australia and New Zealand.

Canadian Association for Leisure Studies (CALS)
The Canadian Association for Leisure Studies is an organisation of Canadian and international scholars and practitioners who share an interest in recreation and leisure research and the delivery of leisure studies.

United Kingdom Leisure Studies Association (LSA)
The LSA, established in 1975, provides a unique multi-disciplinary meeting and communication forum for research, practitioners and students involved in all areas of leisure studies and its many directly and indirectly related areas of interest.

The Wilderness Information Network
This site, developed by the Wilderness Institute (University of Montana), the Aldo Leopold Wilderness research Institute, the Arthur Carhart Wilderness Training Centre, and the National Forests of Florida,  aims to provide high quality information to a variety of audiences – managers, researchers, students, wilderness visitors etc.

Loisir et Societe/Society and Leisure – is a multidisciplinary international scientific journal specialising in the study of leisure in the broadest sense of the term and in its multiple aspects.

World Leisure Journal
