The Research and Commercialisation Office provides a central University connection for external stakeholders seeking to link with Lincoln’s research capabilities and to transfer the knowledge and intellectual property that emerges from these relationships. The Office also has a number of internal responsibilities which include the administration of the Performance Based Research Fund (PBRF) which was introduced in 2003 by TEC to acknowledge and financially reward excellence in research. Other internal functions include administering University research funds such as the Early Career Researcher's award and the Lincoln University Research Fund (LURF) and capital equipment round.
Other functions both within and outside of the University include: providing support to academics seeking to acquire private and public sector external research funding; administering the contracting process; managing and commercialising intellectual property and administering Animal and Human Ethics applications.
