Self-catered accommodation (flats)

Students in a Crescent flat bedroomSelf-catered accommodation (flat), is designed to ensure that you get the best of both worlds; you have supported semi-communal living with the freedom of cooking your own meals and getting to know a great group of people!

 

 

 

 

 

SelfcateredEach flat is fully furnished with a kitchen, lounge room, bathroom and laundry which is shared between four people.

Crescent flatsIncluded in your flat is a phone line, wired broadband or wireless internet, power (to a set amount per month) and basic cleaning once a week. The rooms in the flats are single occupant and contain a single bed, mattress, desk, lamp, wardrobe, and a heater.  New linen packs will be placed in each room, includes a mattress protector, sheets, pillow and pillow case, duvet and duvet cover, towel and bathmat.  These belong to the student and can be taken at the end of the stay.

The self-catered accommodation is in two different areas of the University, The Crescent and The Farm Road Flats, Centennial Hall may also be self-catered depending on demand. All areas have their own free parking, barbeques and are minutes walk from the University Library.

 

Self-catered students are admitted to residence for 37 weeks (one semester only occupancy is allowed if you are part of an exchange programme). Self-catered students are expected to arrive on the 23rd of February and depart at the end of their academic year or no later than 24 hours after their last exam. The fees in 2011 is total of NZD$5,735.00 (excluding the NZD$400 contingency fee and $75 application fee) this includes all vacation periods.
