Assistance for graduating students

We keep in close contact with the graduate job market and list graduate recruitment programmes and vacancies on Lincoln CareerHub.

We host a range of recruitment events throughout the year featuring employers on campus for drop-ins, information sessions and networking events.

If you're interested in finding out where New Zealand graduates have found work, you can access a copy of the latest Graduate Destinations Report which details employment destinations of past graduates, by subject and level of qualification.

Don't have a CV? Worried about an interview?

We offer drop-in sessions, workshops and one-on-one advice and support to help make the transition from study to work as smooth as possible.

Details of all drop-ins and workshops are listed on Lincoln CareerHub.  You can also book appointments with the Learning Advisor (Careers & Employment) for individual assistance.

You should be thinking about your career as a vehicle for the future requiring on-going maintenance. Come and see us early!

Practical Work

Practical Work is a way of gaining hands on experience in a broad range of careers in the discipline you are interested in and is considered an integral part of your study.

More than 21 qualifications have a practical work component.

Practical work is normally undertaken over summer breaks and is closely linked to lectures in the academic study programme.

While the responsibility for finding practical work rests with the student, the practical work co-ordinator can help by making contact with a number of employers with whom links have been established.

Students are strongly encouraged to seek out a diverse range of practical work.
