Lincoln Sheep & Beef Seminar

Welcome to the Lincoln Sheep & Beef Seminar 2010

We are delighted to invite you to this one day seminar to be held at Lincoln University. The theme for the day is “Challenges, Threats and Opportunities”. Guest speakers include the Hon. David Carter, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Biosecurity and Mr Tom Lambie, Chancellor of Lincoln University and Ecan Commissioner.

An interesting and stimulating programme has been arranged and includes such topics as “Maintaining New Zealand’s Competitive Advantage” presented by Con Williams, Chief Economist Meat and Wool NZ  and “Managing Success during Volatile Times” presented by Warren Taylor, Managing Director of Greenfield Ltd.

You will have the opportunity to question the speakers and to discuss the future with other sheep and beef farmers, with rural professionals and the researchers. Come and enjoy the warm hospitality of Canterbury and Lincoln University. We hope you will return home inspired by what you have heard, seen and discussed.

Registration fees


The Registation Fee includes attendance at all sessions, morning, afternoon teas, Happy Hour and Silver Fern Farms BBQ.

$40.00 incl gst for registrations prior to Friday 18 June 2010.

$50.00 incl gst for registrations from this date.

No registrations will be taken on the day.

Cancellation
Fee refunds will be at the discretion of the organising committee. Replacement registrations can be advised at any time. All cancellations or replacement registrations must be made in writing to the secretary

Location
If you are not familiar with the campus please consult the campus map (PDF 225 KB) for directions.

The seminar venue is in Stewart Building . This is no.32 on the map. The location of the venue will be signposted.

Parking
Seminar parking will be available in Orchard car park – Gate 3 on Springs Road past the roundabout.

Bus
The No. 81 bus from Christchurch Bus Exchange travels along Riccarton Road and stops on-campus.
