Here is a great opportunity to have some fun in the dark and get some good exercise along the way. Join the Rec Centre team in Orienteering by Torchlight (PDF 1 MB) on Monday 25 August.

 

The Lincoln University Recreation Centre is your local gym, health and fitness and athletic strength and conditioning centre that caters not only for students, it is open to all lifestyles with wellness programs for pre-school, seniors and teenagers. Our services and facilities include group exercise and yoga classes, squash and tennis courts, competitive and social sports and coaching of Basketball, Netball, Rowing and Rugby, massage therapy, ACC rehabilitation and team building.

No matter what recreation activity you wish to pursue you can do it here. The University's sporting facilities include a modern and very well equipped fitness studio, group exercise studio, boxing and circuit studio, strength and conditioning studio, sports hall, squash, tennis and netball courts and numerous rugby, football and cricket fields for keeping fit and having fun.

The Lincoln University Recreation Centre is a REPS registered facility (www.reps.org.nz) that provides for the health and fitness needs of students, staff and members of the community.

Our facility is a leader in the industry and comprises Life Fitness cardiovascular machines, including treadmills, cross trainers, cycles, steppers, rowers and versa climbers.

Recreation CentreFor strength training you can workout on our Fitness Works and Life Fitness resistance machines or in our free weights area.

No matter what your goals are...sports, general well-being or rehabilitation, we are committed to making a difference for you. We are proud to be licensed to conduct Les Mills group exercise classes and provide you with the opportunity to participate in these exhilarating workouts which set the standard around the world.

Our comprehensive Group Exercise Programme incorporates a wide range of classes aimed at increasing strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness as well as instilling a healthy frame of mind.

We also operate a Building Teams and Leadership Programme, which is all about learning leadership skills, understanding your personality style and group dynamics and how to apply these skills.
