Festival of Summer group exercise

Christmas has come and gone so now it is time to get back into your training routines and kick start those New Year resolutions.

The Festival of Summer Group Exercise timetable (PDF 187 KB) will commence again on the 16th of Jan and will run through until the 20th of Feb.

  • Try out the Step/ Pump combo classes, half an hour of both programs.

Recreation Centre closed on Waitangi Day

The Lincoln University Recreation Centre will be closed on Monday 6th February. We trust that you will enjoy and make the most of the long weekend.

Diversity is the name of the game at the Lincoln University Recreation Centre and with expert staff and fantastic facilities we can provide you with all your health and fitness needs.

No matter what recreation activity you wish to pursue you can do it here. The University's sporting facilities include a modern and very well equipped fitness studio, group exercise studio, boxing and circuit studio, strength and conditioning studio, sports hall, squash, tennis and netball courts and numerous rugby, football and cricket fields for keeping fit and having fun.

The Lincoln University Recreation Centre is a REPS registered facility (www.reps.org.nz) that provides for the health and fitness needs of students, staff and members of the community.

Our facility is a leader in the industry and comprises Life Fitness cardiovascular machines, including treadmills, cross trainers, cycles, steppers, rowers and versa climbers.

 

 

 

 

 

Recreation CentreFor strength training you can workout on our Fitness Works and Life Fitness resistance machines or in our free weights area.

No matter what your goals are...sports, general well-being or rehabilitation, we are committed to making a difference for you. We are proud to be licensed to conduct Les Mills group exercise classes and provide you with the opportunity to participate in these exhilarating workouts which set the standard around the world.

Our comprehensive Group Exercise Programme incorporates a wide range of classes aimed at increasing strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness as well as instilling a healthy frame of mind.

We also operate a Building Teams and Leadership Programme, which is all about learning leadership skills, understanding your personality style and group dynamics and how to apply these skills.

Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs 6.00am - 10.00pm
Friday 6.00am - 8.00pm
Saturday 8.15am - 4.00pm
Sunday 9.00am - 5.00pm
Hours may vary on public holidays. The Rec Centre will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and 2nd January.
