Les Mills Group Fitness

Group Fitness is the new generation of fitness classes and Les Mills offers the very best which we can offer you here at Lincoln University's Recreation Centre.

Designed to keep you energised and enthused, Group Fitness classes take activities like cycling, dance, weightlifting, and yoga, set them to amazing music and deliver fabulous results. Whatever you want to achieve, there's a Group Fitness class for you.

BODYPUMP®

BODYPUMP® is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructors and your choice of weights inspire you to get the results you came for—and fast!

 

BODYATTACK®

BODYATTACK® is the sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. Dynamic instructors and powerful music motivate everyone towards their fitness goals - from the weekend athlete to the hard-core competitor!

 

BODYCOMBAT®

BODYCOMBAT® is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic programme is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors, strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness!

 

RPM®

RPM® is the indoor cycling workout where you ride to the rhythm of powerful music. Take on the terrain with your inspiring team coach who leads the pack through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trials, and interval training. Discover your athlete within – sweat and burn to reach your endorphin high!

 

BODYJAM®

BODYJAM® is the cardio workout where you are free to enjoy the sensation of dance. An addictive fusion of the latest dance styles and hottest new sounds puts the emphasis as much on having fun as breaking a sweat. Funky instructors teach you to move with attitude through this 55-minute class.

So grab a friend, get front and centre and get high on the feeling of dance!

 

BODYBALANCE®

BODYBALANCE® is the Yoga, Tai-Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centred and calm.

Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

 

BODYSTEP®

BODYSTEP® is the energizing step workout that makes you feel liberated and alive. Using a height-adjustable step and simple movements on, over and around the step you get huge motivation from sing-a-long music and approachable instructors. Cardio blocks push fat burning systems into high gear followed by muscle conditioning tracks that shape and tone your body!

 

LINCOLN ZUMBA

ZUMBA is a class that is loaded with South American music, pulsating Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow routines. This invigorating dance-fitness ‘party’ will have you movin’ groovin’ and shakin’ the weight off to the upbeat, exotic rhythms of salsa, cumbria, samba, meringue and more!

 

LINCOLN YOGA

YOGA & FLOW YOGO will stretch and strengthen not only your body but mind and spirit in this relaxing class. Yoga is the best possible exercise there is for improving suppleness. However, yoga postures are more than physical poses; they work on the mind and spirit, and promote increased awareness, vitality and inner peace.

 

LINCOLN ACTIVE KIDS

ACTIVE KIDS is a class for 3-5 year olds that is great for improving fitness, co-ordination, strength, balance, flexibility, confidence and for tiring out those little ones!  Classes run with the school term and cost just $3.50 per child per session. LINCOLN SENIORS CIRCUIT

SENIORS CIRCUIT is class that includes a combination of easy low impact moves dancing, strength training, circuit, pilates, tai chi and stretching. This social class varies week to week. For more information, please contact Anna Luhrs, Group Exercise Manager on 325 3606.

 

Les Mills Sh'Bam

SH'BAM™ Features simple but seriously hot dance moves, it's the perfect
way to shape up and let out your inner star - even if dance isn't your
natural thing. Set to the soundtrack of chart-topping popular hits, dance
music heard in the worlds hottest nightclubs, familiar classics remixed and
modernised Latin beats, SH'BAM™ is the ultimate fun and sociable way to
exercise.
