Match two of the premier netball championship competition had Lincoln University up against Marist at QEII on Thursday. The team were determined to put on a good showing and cement themselves at the top of the table and a place in the finals.
They finished the first quarter ahead by five points and by the same margin at the end of the half.
The girls lifted for the next half and headed into the last quarter leading 39 – 27. In the last quarter we continued to dominate and took our lead out to fifteen points with the final score being 50 – 35.
Burnside and Hearts also had convincing wins with all teams finishing on eight points. We play bottom placed St Nicholas B next week at QEII 1 at 6:00pm and Burnside and Hearts square off as well.
