LUConnect allows you setup connections to the Uniflow followme printers and your H: and U: network drives from personal laptops and PCs running Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista or Windows 7. You computer must meet certain security standards, or you won't be able to connect. The standards are:
- You must be running a Windows Security Centre compliant firewall
- You must be running a recognised Anti Virus
- You must have Windows Updates on
LUConnect is only available for Windows XP SP3/Vista/Windows 7 (32bit) users
Initial Setup - you only need to do this once
First run napconfig to configure Microsoft Network Access Protection on your Windows computer.
You need to be running a minimum of Windows XP Service Pack 3, Vista or Windows 7 to run napconfig. If you aren't able to configure Microsoft Network Access Protection, you won't be able to use the LUConnect service.
If you get a message that you aren't running with Administrator privileges, you will need to save the napconfig file somewhere then right-click it in Windows Explorer and select Run As Administrator, or Run As another user with local Admin rights.
Then run the appropriate VPN setup wizard for your version of Windows. Choose from:
At the end of the installation enter your Username and Password in the box and click on Connect. If all is well you should connect to the Lincoln VPN server.
If you have a problem please run LUConnect Diagnostic Tool, this will create a text file with all the settings on your laptop. Once you have run this you can check your result with this document. The important settings are highlighted in yellow.
