Student email
Lincolnuni email is a Windows Live account customised for Lincoln University students. Students receive a mailbox on the next business day following completion of their first registration. Windows Live is a fully web based service, includes a 10 Gb mailbox, calendar, contact management, as well as 25 Gb ‘SkyDrive’. It is accessible from almost any web browser on or off campus, and is an official University communication channel with students.
This service is available to all students, both undergraduate and post graduate.
Instant Messaging has recently been released into Windows Live. Microsoft plan to make Office applications available online to Windows Live users in the near future.

Staff email
The standard email programs are Microsoft Outlook 2007 (available on Lincoln University staff desktops); and Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA), which can be accessed through any web browser whether on or off campus by entering http://www.lincoln.ac.nz/mail. If a University-owned laptop is allocated full-time to an individual staff member who needs the Outlook 2007 client, they must contact the ITS Service Desk to arrange a time for their laptop to be brought in for servicing. Authentication will be reconfigured at the same time to use individualised credentials. Users who wish to prepare and read emails off-line will need the Outlook 2007 client.
