It is a good idea to get into the habit of checking your 'Junk E-mail' folder regularly to ensure you're not missing important emails through mistakes in filtering. Open your 'Junk E-mail' folder a check the emails to see if they are legitimate, delete them if they're not. If you have emails going into the 'Junk E-mail' folder that shouldn't be, add the sender or the senders domain to your 'Safe Senders List' from your 'Junk E-mail' folder.
To ensure that you receive all Emails sent to you from your Lecturer/Tutors or other Lincoln University staff, please add 'lincoln.ac.nz' to your 'Safe Senders' list by following these instructions:

Open your Lincoln University email account

Left-click 'Options' in the top right of your screen
|
|
From the menu on the left, click 'Block or Allow' |

Check 'Automatically filter junk e-mail' |

|
In the field called 'Safe Senders and Recipients', type the domain (i.e. lincoln.ac.nz) you wish to add to you 'Safe senders' list |

Click on the green plus (to the right of where you've typed) |

|
Click 'Save' (bottom right corner |

How to add a sender or sender's domain to 'Safe Senders List' from you 'Junk E-mail' folder

Open you 'Junk E-mail' folder |

Locate the email from sender you consider safe |
|
|
Right-click on the email in the list |
|
|
Select 'Junk E-mail' |
 |
|
Select the 'Add Sender to Safe Senders List' or 'Add Sender's Domain to Safe Senders List' (Do this for any email from @lincoln.ac.nz) |

You also have the ability to choose to disable all junk email filtering.
