ITS supports Corel Photopaint as the default bitmap image editor at Lincoln University. Two versions of Photopaint are available on all computer suite PCs and staff computers. To access the software, click on the Windows Start button and under Image Editing, choose either Photopaint 9 or 12.
There are many different bitmap editing programs available on the market. One of the best-know is Adobe Photoshop, and there are many copies of Photoshop on campus. While we don’t support Photoshop, I am happy to help out if you are having difficulty using it.
While image editing software provides a huge range of tools, most people only need to perform a few actions on digital camera files to make them suitable for printing or inclusion in other documents. I have prepared a brief “how-to” document for performing basic operations on image files using Corel Photopaint:
If you have trouble transferring image files from a camera, I can help perform that task. Sometimes data on camera cards can be accidentally erased or become garbled. If this happens to you, I have image recovery software that may be able to recover some or all of your images.
