Bachelor of Environmental Management
Policy Advisor at Federated Farmers of New Zealand
Brigid Buckley decided to study at Lincoln University because it was well-talked about. She says: “The size of the university, the small class sizes and the variety of subjects were a big drawing factor: “I took papers in landscape architecture, economics, ecology, physical science, resource management, geographic information systems.”
As a Policy Advisor her work is remarkably varied and involves dealing with all kinds of regional and local issues. At a national level, her policy focus is water and all aspects of it in relation to farming.
After her Bachelor degree she also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Resource Studies. “My qualifications have provided me with a well-rounded knowledge base of environmental and resource management issues.”
As an additional bonus she received the Lincoln University Academic Graduate Scholarship and is now continuing her studies with a Master of Applied Science (Landscape Planning).
