The following pathways are the minimum entry standards that have been approved for admission and are correct at the time of publishing. Admission staff encourage applicants with alternative qualifications to apply for individual assessments.

The following pathways are the minimum entry standards that have been approved for admission and are correct at the time of publishing. Admission staff encourage applicants with alternative qualifications to apply for individual assessments.

New Zealand 58 NCEA credits at Level 2 or higher (including 30 credits over three approved subjects plus UE literacy and numeracy)
OR
Any LincolnFirst Level 3 programme successfully completed

Note: Students will not normally be accepted into the Certificate in University Studies directly from Year 12. To enrol in the Certificate directly from secondary school, students should have completed Year 13.
Australia Year 11 Certificate and ATAR of 50 or higher
OR
Queensland OP no lower than 22 (with superior grades)
Bangladesh Year 12 Higher Secondary Certificate with a minimum GPA of 3.0
Brazil Successful completion of High School (third year of second level)
Brunei Darussalam GCE O level in four courses
China Senior High School Graduation Diploma, 65% overall average over three years
OR
Year 10 and 11 overall average 80%
Fiji School Leaving Certificate, an aggregate of 200 out of 400, over four courses
Hong Kong Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE), successful completion
OR
GCE O level, passes in four courses at D or better
India Year 12 Senior School Certificate, average 50% in four courses
OR
Indian School Certificate, Second Division Pass
OR
Higher School Certificate, Second Division Pass
Indonesia

An average grade of 56 in one of the following:

  • National Exam (SMA/SMK) or
  • National Exam (SMA/SMK) and School Exam results
International Baccalaureate (IB) On application. Minimum IB diploma score 18
Japan Senior High School, Kotogakko Certificate, overall average 2.5 over 3 years
Malaysia SPM Grade 4 average in five courses
OR
Unified Examination Certificate (UEC), maximum 25 over five subjects
Middle Eastern Countries 70% average in academic subjects
Nepal On application
Pakistan Year 12 Higher School Certificate 50% average in academic courses
Papua New Guinea Year 12 Higher School Certificate or Upper Secondary School results with C average or better over five courses, and a minimum C grade in mathematics
Philippines Successful completion of Grade 12
Russia Certificate of Secondary School: Attestat with three or higher in four academic courses, including mathematics
Singapore GCE O level, passes in four courses
Solomon Islands Pacific Senior Secondary Certificate (Grade 5 or better)
South Africa On application
South Korea Successful completion of Year 11 with a minimum overall average 70%
Sri Lanka GCE O levels, C average in four courses
Taiwan Senior High School Leaving Certificate 65% average in five courses
OR
Year 11, superior grades
Thailand Matayom 6 with an average grade of 2
OR
Matayom 5, superior grades
United Kingdom GCSE or GCE O level, passes in four courses
United States of America High School Graduation Diploma. Applications are assessed on a case by case basis.
Vanuatu Pacific Senior Secondary Certificate (Grade 5 or better)
Vietnam Year 12 with a 5.5 average in four academic courses
Western Samoa Pacific Senior Secondary Certificate (Grade 5 or better)
 

English Language Requirements

 
IELTS (Academic) TOEFL Cambridge Lincoln's English test
Certificate in University Studies 5.0, with no individual component less than 5.0 35 iBT (Writing 14) Overall CAE or FCE score of 154, with no individual component less than 154 55%
