We endeavour to deliver courses at times that meet the needs of our students, whether they are studying with us full time, or juggling their studies with full-time employment.
Full-time study normally constitutes120 credits (or eight courses of 15 credits each) per year. If you are an international student, you need to take at least three courses per semester to be considered a full-time student. Part-time study for international students is not normally approved by Immigration New Zealand.
Part-time study is available to New Zealand citizens, permanent residents and Australian citizens. One, two or three courses per semester generally constitute part-time study. Some programmes are specifically designed to be part-time. These include the Executive Development Programme, the Regional Diploma and secondary school programmes which are run off campus.
To find out whether you can study part-time towards your chosen qualification, contact our Student Administration team.
