AERU
The Agribusiness and Economics Research Unit (AERU) operates from Lincoln University providing research expertise for a wide range of organisations.
AERU research focuses on economics, resource, environmental, and social issues.
The AERU employs full-time researchers and it also functions as a research coordinating body for staff of the University involved in economic, social, and environmental research. It can call upon the expertise of staff in all divisions of the University and it has close links with the Divisions of Commerce, and Environment Society and Design Divisions.
The AERU conducts contract research for clients. Research clients include Government Departments, both within New Zealand and from other countries, international agencies, New Zealand companies and non-government organisations, individuals and farmers. Research results are presented through private client reports, where this is required, and through the publication system operated by the AERU. Postgraduate research is supported by AERU through supervision of Masters and PhD theses.
