Change Password

NOTICE While you are able to change the password for your Lincoln usercode here, access to some resources, e.g. Library card, Office365 may not be available to you until the beginning of the academic semester for which you are enrolled.

Instructions

  • Enter your username in the Username field.
  • Enter the current password in the Current Password field.
  • Type and re-type your new password in the New Password and Re-Type Password fields.
  • You should receive confirmation that your password has been changed.
  • Logout and test your new password by logging in.

You do however have access to all course websites via http://learn.lincoln.ac.nz/ and click on an appropriate subject code. Your new password must be at least 8 characters long. You can't re-use a password you have used before at Lincoln. Forgotten your password? Contact ithelp@lincoln.ac.nz

Password Rules

  • You may not use any of your names in the password
  • You can't use your Student or emloyee ID
  • You can't use your network username e.g. lu\smithj or smithj if you were John Smith
  • Your password must contain UPPER and lowercase characters
  • The password must contain a number, but not an obvious sequence like 123 or 666
  • These are all invalid values and can't be included in a password


    All the above are not allowed in addition to the other rules mentioned.
