Participation in a research project in collaboration with an external organisation (in the public or private sector). Submission of a research report reviewing pertinent literature and documenting the research undertaken, the value of the experience gained, any negative aspects and conclusions reached.

Refer in the first instance to the Director of the relevant Division.
(i) The research placement may extend but not duplicate material covered in other courses and may not form the basis for any work submitted for credit in another course. Students must obtain the agreement of a Lincoln University staff member to supervise the placement, and if appropriate, the agreement of an external organisation or individual to supervise the work and the topic must be approved by the Academic Programme Director, Postgraduate Studies.
(ii) The prefix will reflect the topic area of the research project.
